History of SNHU

Southern New Hampshire University was originally founded by H.A.B. Sharpiro as the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science in 1932. In 1961, it was renamed New Hampshire College of Accounting and Commerce. The first associates degree was awarded in 1963 and the first bachelor's degree was granted three years later. It was officially introduced as New Hampshire College in 1969. In 1971, the college relocated to the current 300-acre campus along the Merrimack River.

- Applicants need to have completed the equivalent of a US Secondary School
- Applicants will require the equivalent of a 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale
- Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency as evidenced by:
TOEFL score of 71 and greater, IELTS score of 6.5 and greater, PTE score of 49 and greater, ELS score of 111 and greater, EF score of 107 and greater, and Michigan score of 85 and greater. The TOIEC examination is not accepted.
